According to a recent article from the Mayo Clinic, the data is mounting on the benefits of laughter. We all know that laughing can take the stress of your mind and “lighten the load” so to speak but there are also physiological benefits too. According to this study, laughing increases oxygen intake in your heart, lungs, and muscles while at the same time increasing endorphin levels in your brain.  That’s not all though. It also relieves pain in the body because laughing forces  your body produce natural painkillers that will aid in the relief of aches and pains. In some cases laughter has even helped cancer patients get rid of cancer for good!

So next time you’re feeling a little down or are experiencing some aches and pains try watching a funny movie, or whatever makes you laugh and watch your stress go out the window. Your body will appreciate it!
